Reporting to the Line Manager eNCA, your key performance areas will include:

Facilitating the process of selecting news footage worth archiving, according to editorial input

Moving video from the News production area of Dalet to the “Media Manager Preparation Area” (MMPA)

Confirming that aired video from previous day’s bulletins has been transferred from the respective Aired Stories folders for each bulletin to MMPA

Deleting of all video from the Aired Stories folder that is not deemed as “archivable”

Deleting video links from previous day’s rundown templates for each bulletin aired

Preparing the video for Audio-Visual Archivists to archive permanently on Dalet

Selecting video clips worth archiving from the Aired folders and moving it to “Media Manager Preparation Area” (MMPA)

Selecting video feeds worth archiving from the Line Feeds folders and its subcategories i.e. incoming feeds & Reuters and P2 folders, and moving it to the “Media Manager Preparation Area” (MMPA) for reviewing and archiving by Archivists.

Moving scripts from the Rundowns folder to their subcategories folders

Monitoring the Dalet consistently in terms of storage space for videos on the news production server

 

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years broadcast experience
  • Editorially astute
  • Technologically proficient, or a very fast learner
  • Methodical, with keen attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Decisive attitude
  • Deadline driven and willing to work long hours and on weekends if required so
  • Self starter, with initiative
  • Team player
