Retail Network Internship at Volvo 2017

Today, emerging markets make up the lion share of world truck sales measured in volume of medium duty and heavy duty trucks sold, mainly in low-cost (China, India) and value segments (South-East Asia, Eastern Europe).

The main task for the Group Trucks Asia & JVs is to seize this opportunity for profitable growth. We do this to capture growth in Asia, both by establishing a separate value chain with the right cost structure for our UD value truck offer and by working even closer together with our partners in Dongfeng Commercial Vehicles and Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles.

The Group Trucks Asia & JVs will have its own resources for R&D, Purchasing, Manufacturing and Sales.

Volvo Group Southern Africa provides an internship opportunity in the following area: Retail Network at our UD Trucks Head Office.

This internship is situated in Pretoria.

The successful candidate will have exposure to the following areas within Retail Network.

• To compile daily, weekly and monthly dealer performance reports and distribute timeously to all role players;
• To compile all reports for Geared for Success Incentive programme;
• To compile all monthly UDT, reports for the REX measurement;
• To ensure the accuracy of the UDT dealer database;
• To ensure the accurate upload of all information on the RISE system;
• To upload all Network Development invoices on the SAP system and keep record of all payments;
• To handle all travel arrangements of department and Dealer Council;
• To handle all general administration responsibilities of the Network Development Department.

Skills required:

• Good interpersonal skills
• Verbal and written communicate

Key Competencies

• Computer Literacy, Microsoft office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), (Intermediate level of proficiency)
• Time management skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Good communication (written and verbal) skills in English.

Qualifications and Experience

• Qualification in Business Administration

Own transport is essential
