Requirements:
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategy Formation and Execution:
Develop and execute the company’s business strategies in order to attain the goals of the board and shareholders.
Provide strategic advice to the board and Chairperson so that they will have accurate view of the market and the company’s future.
Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement by planning cost-effective operations and market development activities.
Assuming full accountability to the board for all company operations.
Develop and maintain research and development programmes to ensure that the company remains at the forefront in the industry, applies the most cost-effective methods and approaches, provides leading-edge products and services and retains its competitive edge.
Prepare a corporate plan and annual business plan and monitor progress against these plans to ensure that the company attains its objectives as cost effectively and efficiently as possible.

Business Planning:
Direct the development of annual and longer-term business plans for the organisation, ensuring alignment with the Group’s strategy.
Participate in overall business planning, providing input to a future vision of appropriate products and services in relation to the organisation’s needs, intent and capabilities.
Quantify business outcomes (i.e. revenues or other key performance indicators)
Set resource budgets (financial and headcount).
Review and approve business cases for programs that have a strategic business impact.

Financial Management and Oversight:
Oversee the company’s financial performance, investments and other business ventures.
Prepare, gain acceptance, and monitor the implementation of the annual budget to ensure that budget targets are met, that revenue flows are maximized and that fixed costs are minimized.
Oversee the preparation of the annual report and accounts of the company and ensure their approval by the board.
Establish and maintain effective formal and informal links with major customers, relevant government departments and agencies, local authorities, key decision-makers and other stakeholders generally, to exchange information and views and to ensure that the company is providing the appropriate range and quality of services.
Develop and maintain an effective marketing and public relations strategy to promote the products, services and image of the company in the wider community.
Represent the company in negotiations with customers, suppliers, government departments and other key contacts.

Corporate Governance:
Develop and direct the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure that the company complies with all health and safety and other statutory regulations.
Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated all the way from the top down in the company and that they are followed.

Board Relationship:
Help ensure the business has an effective Board by developing and improving relationships with Board members and by identifying priorities, issues and strategic challenges in the business and preparing them for discussion.

Leadership and Direction:
Be an effective inspirational leader to facilitate the creation of motivated, accountable, full service teams who understand and strive to meet the needs of all stakeholders.
Coach, counsel and train BluNova team, operational managers and staff to apply, support, sustain and develop a Continuous Improvement culture.
Role model behavior and motivate team members in line with the BluNova’s values and ethos.
Guidance of others and active development of self to improve on their technical and communication abilities so that BluNova’s capabilities and deliveries are better understood and thus trusted and applied through the business.
Translates strategy into goals for performance and growth helping to implement organisation-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operating planning.
Identify the capabilities needed to meet the current and emerging business needs of the organisation.
Evaluate current capabilities, identify gaps, and prioritize development activities.

Matric
University / Post Graduate Qualification preferred

EXPERIENCE:
General Experience:
Wide and deep experience providing expert competence (Over 10 years to 15 years )

Managerial Experience:
Experienced in strategic management and leadership across company functions directing substantial resources over
long time frames (More than 8 years)
