SALARY : R183 438 per annum
CENTRE : Steve Biko Academic Hospital
REQUIREMENTS : Minimum Qualification: A three year Diploma or Degree in Public relation,
Communication, journalism, corporate Communications or Marketing. 3 years
experience on Public Relation, Events coordination or Internal Communication.
Computer literate, Excellent communication and report writing skills, presentation
skills and ability to interpret relevant instructions, good interpersonal relation.
Ability to work under pressure.
DUTIES : Plan, organize and coordinate all Communication activities of the hospital.
Application and adherence to all statutory requirements as well as guidelines
issued by the department of Health, liaise with internal stakeholders. Assist in
promoting health programme through awareness, identify and produce items for
the newsletter. Establish and maintain a good working relation with the media
and other stake-holders. Planning and coordinating regular fundraising. Writing
and taking pictures for internal public during events. Participating in hospital’s
Events Committee. Assist in branding, ensuring adherence to protocol when
branding during hospital events and awareness. Assist in updating the hospital’s
website. Help in identification process of unknown patients. Assist in coordinating
sports events. Promote and help maintain the reputation of the hospital both
internally and externally. Manage the notice board.
