Three year B. degree/National Diploma in Criminal Justice/Criminology or related field. 3 years experience in the CJS.

Knowledge of policies that informs Domestic Violence Act, Criminal Procedure Act, Sexual Offences Act, Child Justice Act and related legislation.

Knowledge of policies related to Community Safety.

Good communication skills. Facilitation and Investigative skills.

Good analytical and innovative skills. Problem solving skills.

Conflict Management skills. Presentation and report writing skills. Data capturing and data analysis Skills. Drivers License. Computer Literacy


DUTIES : Investigate service delivery complaints (with emphasis to Domestic Violence) at the District.

Conduct audits on compliance to Domestic Violence Act at police stations. Conduct follow –up visits on compliance to Domestic Violence Audits recommendations. Conduct awareness sessions on the Domestic Violence Act.

Liaise with the key stakeholders regarding Domestic Violence Audits at the District.

Implement and coordinate Social Crime Prevention initiatives at Districts and Municipal level.

Participate in IDP process of District and Local Municipalities. Investigate Complaints against Police conduct
