GaySA Radio Internship Opportunities 2017

GaySA Radio is an internet radio station. It is the only full-time LGBTI radio station in Africa, broadcasting from Pretoria, South Africa.

The station started on 31 October 2015 and after extensive testing was officially launched on 1 October 2016.

GaySA Radio is community-based and staffed by 35 unpaid volunteers. Some are seasoned radio professionals and some are brand new to radio. Together they learn and grow as a group bringing LGBTI and other content to the target audience.

GaySA Radio is on air 24 hours a day with a variety of shows to suit all needs and cover a wide selection of topics and interests.

GaySA Radio Thando is a registered Non-Profit Organisation with registration number NPO 181-316.

If you have recently qualified in any of the above, cannot find a job but need the work experience, you are welcome to apply.

We work via the Internet, so you can be from anywhere in South Africa. We will have a once a week meeting (at our premises in Pretoria for the locals and via Skype for people elsewhere.)

Interviews will take in person or via Skype on Saturday 1 July from 10h00 – 13h00.
