Group Five Engineering & Construction: Program Manager

Group Five Nuclear Construction Services is looking to recruit a Program Manager the position will be based at our Bryanston Offices. The Program Manager will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of the portfolio of nuclear construction projects, by ensuring effective integration and prioritization of projects, consistent application of PMBOK principles on all projects, and by applying strategic project portfolio planning, operational strategies and sound management through stringent and effective quality control measures.

The ideal candidate will have the following competencies:

 

Ability

• To effectively direct and manage the nuclear readiness program for all nuclear related projects for Group Five Nuclear Construction Services Division
• Managing the lifecycle of the program, ensuring deadlines are achieved and the day to day functions of the program and related projects takes place
• To define the project scope, goals and deliverables that supports the business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
• Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to complex business matters and being regarded as a subject matter expert on nuclear programs
• Represents the organisation and project to external customers/clients and stakeholders
• Contributes to the development of new ideas and methods to achieve a cost effective program
• Effective implementation and leveraging for Group Five Systems

 

Experience

• Management of risk in compilation and implementation of the construction program
• Working on complex problems/projects where analysis of situations or data require an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors
• Mentoring and providing guidance to lower level employees
• Managing a professional team

 

Knowledge

• Solid working knowledge of current Internet based technologies
• Database and operating systems experience
• 5 to 10 years relevant nuclear project and program management experience on major nuclear projects at a strategic decision making level
• Competent and proficient understanding of Product Lifecycle Programs Platforms
• Professional engineering degree and project management qualification
