CHIEF ACCOUNTING CLERK: CREDITORS 4 POSTS REF NO: 14/99/CFO
SALARY : R170 799 – R201 195. The successful candidate will be required to sign a
performance agreement
CENTRE : National Office: Pretoria
REQUIREMENTS : Grade 12 certificate or equivalent qualification; At least 3 years’ experience in a
financial management/ accounting environment; Knowledge of the Public Finance
Management Act (PFMA) and Treasury Regulations; Knowledge of financial
operating system BAS. Skills and Competencies: Computer literacy (MS Excel,
Word, Outlook ); Good communication skills (verbal and written); Computer
literacy and spread sheet skills (will be tested) ; Telephone etiquette (very
important); Ability to work under pressure and meet daily deadlines; Intermediate
MS Excel skills.
DUTIES : Key Performance Areas: Supervise and verify the Creditor’s files; Ensure that
statements received from suppliers are up to date; Perform the follow-ups on
relevant outstanding creditors; Supervise and verify the distribution and
processing of unpaid invoices and facilitate payment thereof; Perform spotchecks
to verify correctness of daily progress reports; Attend to higher queries
from Supplier/Offices; Assist with Accruals ad financial Year end; Verify and
consolidate progress reports on a monthly basis; Compile monthly progress
reports and submit to supervisor; Ensure effective people management.
