Vacancy Details

We are seeking a dedicated Debtors/Accounts Supervisor to join our team in Cape Town. In this role, you will be crucial in leading and managing our Debtors and Accounts Clerks, ensuring efficient and effective operations while adhering to legislative guidelines.

 

Educational Requirements:

• Relevant Accounting qualification
• 2 years or more of experience in a supervisory role
• 3-4 years of experience in debtors and finance
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Strong debt-collection skills
• Experience in handling creditors/accounts payable

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Debtors/Accounts Supervisor, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Providing leadership and guidance to Debtors and Accounts Clerks
• Managing staff performance and development
• Meeting collection targets as agreed upon
• Accurately and promptly processing reconciliations
• Ensuring strict adherence to company policies
• Supervising administration tasks, including overseeing accounting systems and records, cash office, contracts, banking, and credit balancing reports
• Submitting invoices to the head office for payment
• Conducting daily banking activities and processing journals
• Handling receipting, invoicing, and banking tasks
