Vacancy Details

Our client is seeking a Citrus Farm Manager to join their team in Kirkwood.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

Compliance

• Ensure all workers and work are in compliance with company’s safety guidelines.
• PPECB, DAFF orchard inspections.
• Co-ordination of internal/external training.
• Co-ordination of all audits.

Technical

• Irrigation & Chemical applications
• Chemical applications & spray instructions
• Fertilizer applications
• Foliar feeds
• Data capturing

Farm Maintenance

• General knowledge of maintenance of farm vehicles and equipment.
• Perform equipment calibration and schedule service intervals to ensure proper maintenance.

Production

• Co-ordination of picking teams.
• General supervision of farm employees.
• Ensure effective communication, co-ordination, and planning during picking season.
• Motivate and improve productivity of employees.
• Operate and oversee the use of heavy and light farm machinery.

Minimum Requirements

• Agriculture Diploma/Degree advantageous.
• Agricultural background advantageous.
• Previous fruit and/or packhouse experience advantageous.
• Computer literate.
• Energetic and hands-on.
• Hard working, deadline driven, and diligent.
• Accurate, organized, and demonstrate initiative.
• Ability to work with and motivate a team.
• Strong management and communication skills.
• Preventative maintenance orientated.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to work overtime.
