A multinational energy and alternative power solutions provider seeks an experienced Financial Accountant to join their dynamic South African team based in Johannesburg East.

 

Job & Company Description:

The purpose of this role will be to provide support for the business through the Finance function. You will also be responsible for daily transactions, producing accounts, liaising with auditors and compiling reports.

Duties Include:

• Compiling accounts
• Carrying out internal controls
• Managing cash flow, treasury, foreign exchange / currency, ledgers, cashbooks, stock control, CAPEX, credit control, VAT returns and budget process
• Managing banking function
• Developing and maintaining accounting systems, procedures and policies
• Providing financial and commercial support to non-finance stakeholders

Education:

• BCom Honours in finance or accounting

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles required
• 2 to 3 years post articles experience within the commercial sector
• Knowledge of Sage or MS Dynamics
• Strong MS Excel skills required
• Understanding IFRS
• Strong understanding of financial processes
• Knack for numbers and analytically minded
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Deadline driven
