A multinational transportation giant seeks a Group Accountant to join their dynamic team based in Johannesburg East.

 

Job & Company Description:

The successful incumbent will have strong knowledge and proven practical experience in group consolidations, shareholder reporting and foreign currencies / exchange, and will be responsible for executing all group related finance functions and act as a business partner to the CFO.

Countries involvement include South Africa, Namibia, Mozambique, United Kingdom and Germany.

Duties Include:

• Compile monthly shareholders packs
• Work with business units on monthly reporting packs
• Group cash flow reporting and management
• Group consolidations for about 10 entities
• Due diligence processes if required
• Compile investment papers for potential acquisitions and supply support to start up companies / acquisitions
• Manage the group P&L
• Evaluate business processes on business units to improve efficiencies and profitability

 

Education:

• BCom degree in Accounting or Finance
• Qualified CA(SA) / CIMA / MBA, preferred

 

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• 3 to 4 years post articles experience
• Logistics or courier industry experience, preferred
• Strong understanding of BI tools (data analysis)
• Foreign currency and transactional exposure
• Expert Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong consolidations experience
• Strong understanding of financial business processes
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Deadline driven
