Applications from unemployed Graduate Scientists and Water/Waste Water Process Controllers are invited for the above positions
stationed at the Scientific Services and the Operations Divisions of Rand Water.
Rand Water will provide the recruited graduate interns with experiential training that will result in the development of the technical
knowledge leading to their registration as professional Scientists and Process Controllers with the respective professional bodies.On completion of the graduate internship programme, interns will be required to apply the knowledge and skills learned at recipient Municipalities in the Gauteng, Mpumalanga and Free State Provinces as identified by Rand Water and National Treasury.
Interns will be trained by Rand Water for the duration of eighteen months and thereafter will be deployed to the recipient Municipalities forc ompletion of their training for a further eighteen months.
Successful applicants will be expected to sign a contract compelling them to be trained and thereafter deployed to the recipient
Municipality for the number of months that they have spent on training, failing which they would have to repay all expenses incurred during the training at Rand Water.
Minimum qualifications for Scientists: BSc Environmental Sciences and Hydrology.

Key responsibilities: 
During the training, Scientific and Process Controller Interns will be expected to successfully demonstrate all
proficiencies as determined by SACNASP for Scientists registrations and Department Water Affairs (Regulation 17) for the Process Controllers registrations.

First preference will be given to applicants who have permanent residence within the identified recipient municipal areas of Gauteng, Mpumalanga and Free State Provinces.
The programme is restricted to South African citizens with a valid Identity Document.
Appointments will also be made in the context of Employment Equity.
Short-listed applicants may be subjected to competency assessments and security clearance and wil lbe required to produce original certificates and academic records.
