Job Title: External Communications Specialist

Job Summary:
Develop and implement project-based media strategies
Communicate, inform, and advise all relevant stakeholders of the SACAA media policy and procedures
Assist in coordinating information and writing media statements
Manage social media platforms including regular updates and timeous responses to queries
Assist on compiling information for media queries and writing appropriate media responses
Coordinate media conferences including media kits
Coordinate media training for all key personnel
Assist in arranging, preparing and co-ordinating planned media interviews as requested by the media or DCA
Monitor the relevant coverage, mentions and clips across all media platforms
Analyse and compile reports on media activities on a monthly or as and when requested
Compile a media contact list and update regularly
Provide support on any external communication objective derived from the implementation of any other communications strategy employed by the department. For example, branding and corporate social investment strategies/ plans
Implementation of Departmental Communication Strategy

Website and Social Media Management
Assist in the management of the SACAA official website
Content Development for various Communication ChannelsResearch, develop and write content for various communications platform such as:
•Social media platforms
•Website and intranet
•Presentations
•Magazines, booklets, brochures, and leaflets
•Editorials and Advertorials
•Any other promotional material and company documentation

Requirements:
National Diploma/National Higher Diploma or related formal qualification in Communications or Public Relations.
Ideal Qualification a Degree in Communications or Public Relations
3- 7 years experience in Corporate Communications
