Job Title: Assistant Accountant
Location: Midrand, Gauteng, South Africa

Job Summary:
Prepare reconciliation of bank accounts monthly and ensure reconciling items are timeously resolved.
Reconcile salary control accounts monthly and liaise with payroll office to resolve all reconciling items.
Prepare daily reports of bank balances.
Prepare monthly general ledger journals timeously and accurately.
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliation file.
Timeously clear audit findings relating to area of responsibility.
Manage and maintain relationship with banks
Ensure deadlines for month end and year end are met

Filing:

Ensure that reconciliations are properly filed.

Ensure that all filed transaction/documents are easily retrievable for future reference and auditing.

Prepare Reports:
Prepare monthly reports.
Prepare year end reports.
Ad Hoc
Perform any other responsibilities from time to time as assigned

Requirements:
NQF level 6 qualification related to Finance / Financial management (National Diploma or advanced certificate)
3 Years Assistant Accountant
