Level of remuneration: Salary Level 5: R123 738 per annum is applicable to the post (Public Service Act)
*Be in possession of Senior Certificate (Grade 12);*Have a certificate in Office
Administration/Management/Secretarial or related fields; * A higher qualification in the specific field or an
internship in the Public Service as well as an appropriate/relevant experience in the field of the post and
competency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint will be an advantage.*Willing to work extended hours when
Type reports, letters, memoranda and monitor flow of documents to and from the office of the Sections Head.
Manage the diary of the Section Head.
Co-ordinate travel arrangements, including accommodation and subsistence allowances
Maintain a filing system for the Section Head
Distribute post and circulars to the relevant receivers and keep a register up to date.
Handle routine correspondence immediately; Send and receive faxes; Answer and make telephone calls on behalf of the Section Head and take messages professionally.
Provide support during meetings and workshops involving the Section Head.

All instructions on the application form must be adhered to and previous criminal convictions must be declared; failure to do so may result in the rejection of the application.

Persons who retired from the Public Service by taking a severance package, early retirement or for medical reasons, as well as persons with previous convictions, are excluded.
The following must be submitted together with the application form:
1. Comprehensive Curriculum Vitae.
2. Certified copies of an applicant ID document, valid motor vehicle driver’s license (Police Act Appointments only) and all educational qualification obtained.
Through the filling of the above mentioned posts, an applicant whose appointment will promote representivity may receive preference.
If a candidate is short-listed, it can be expected of him/her to undergo a personal interview which may include practical test or presentation.
The South African Police Service will verify the residential address and qualification of applicants, as well as citizenship. Reference checking will be conducted on all short listed applicants.
