Job Summary:
Compile and oversee the detailed 2-year budget and reports and maintenance of the MES Data Warehouse, Systems and Applications for the operation to ensure that robust and accurate systems are in place to provide accessible, reliable and consistent reporting of business outcomes to inform good decision making on all levels of the operation

The duties will include but are not limited to:
•Manage the operations execution information systems and applications to enable effective execution of the mine strategy at the operation
•Accountable for data integrity and data warehouse maintenance
•Promote operations system utilization
•Daily management of the Mining Control Room and its functions
•Support Business Requirements for mining and processing systems
•Ensure Mining Systems have adequate technical support and uptime
•Management of new mining systems projects
•Reporting of accurate operational information
•Oversee the development of customized operational reports and ongoing maintenance thereof to ensure data integrity
•Identify business needs, scoping and motivating requirements

Requirements:
You will need:
•Degree / National Diploma in Information Management / Mining Engineering / Geology / Surveying / Processing / Metallurgy / Industrial Engineering
•Minimum 4 years mining execution systems of which 1 year in a Supervisory position
•Sound knowledge of database software, Power BI, transactional SQL advance
•SAP & MS Office Suite Proficiency, specifically Advanced MS Excel
•In-depth knowledge of mining and mining methods specifically related to Opencast Mining and Processing
•Sound knowledge of mine planning specific software (i.e. Deswik)

Advantageous:
•Experience working in Opencast Mining & Processing
•Sound knowledge of Plant and Mining systems, mine planning specific software (i.e. Deswik)
•Technical knowledge of the following: Database Management, SSIS, SSAS and SSRS, Aspentech IP21 Configuration and Maintenance, JavaScript (DOJO libraries) development
