The Clothing Bank supports the goal of up-skilling and equipping over 1000 previously unemployed women per year to have the ability to personally change the course of their destiny.

Job Title: Branch Manager
Job Location: Paarl branch, Western Cape

The purpose of the position is to meet the branch targets to accomplish the organisations vision as well as the effective management of the branch by achieving financial sustainability, operational effectiveness and ensuring effective reporting and administration.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, manage and develop staff
  • Enable and create a culture and environment that supports and encourages the values of the organisation as well as the behaviours required to achieve the vision of the organisation
  • Manage general operations including:
    • Collections, receiving and storage
    • Sales volumes and pricing and efficient cashier operations
    • IT infrastructure and systems
    • Charity distributions
    • Risk and security systems
    • Safety and general facilities
  • Recruit beneficiaries and related functions
  • Support the training manager in the management, resourcing and monitoring of the training programme and the required assessments and surveys
  • Monitor and manage progress, performance and attendance of beneficiaries and taking corrective action
  • Formulate annual financial budgets and targets and the implementation of systems for expenditure control and the monitoring of income
  • Efficient administration and reporting
  • Define marketing objectives and setting a strategy
  • Stakeholder engagement and relationship management
  • Grow income and fundraising

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 with a related tertiary qualification in business management
  • Minimum of three years’ management experience and five years’ experience in a similar or related environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is essential
  • Strong people management, development and interpersonal skills
  • Business savvy and financial acumen
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Decisiveness, initiative, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of marketing and public relations with the ability to plan, direct and coordinate programmes and activities
