DStv-i Account Manager – Overall responsibility and management of Infosys (TV analysis software) and play a key role in delivering value added insight to client and all users as well as understanding and interpreting television audience data across all media data suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:
Client relationships:

• Take responsibility for Infosys and play a key role in delivering value added insights to client and all users
• Management of InfoSys support to client (full responsibility of local client support)
• Responsible for on-site client support to train new and existing users (training, knowledge, time, capacity, budgets, product demonstrations) on all aspects and use of Infosys
• Responsible for the resolution of all data related queries from client and all InfoSys users (day to day handling of client queries
• Provision of exceptional on-going client support to ensure maximum value
• Maintain and nurture client relationships
• Manage and promote delivery to client expectations
• Overall management of Infosys, TAMS, Landmark, and Citrix (SA) relationships
• Organisation of and preparation for regular client meetings
• Good understanding of the media and television industry and keeping abreast of all new media developments
• Work closely with the DStv-i Manager to ensure timely, satisfactory resolution of client issues that could impact sales efforts
• To become an Infosys expert

Operational & Project management:
• Ensuring that all new media developments are incorporated into the DStv-i service (questionnaires, quotas, stratifications and ultimately Infosys)
• Continuous input into all aspects of project design to ensure that all Infosys requirements are included
• Responsible for the establishment and implementation of all development work required on Infosys
• Establishment and maintenance of quality standards for all data and relevant outputs
• Setting up and maintaining systems and standard operating procedures and the continued improvement thereof (best practice manuals, process flow, automation, all documentation) for InfoSys
• Creation and maintenance all InfoSys documentation (training manuals, Infosys support materials, glossary)
• Suggest process improvements to client and team
• Setting up training schedules
• InfoSys product demonstrations in support of new sales opportunities

• Overall management of information for internal and external purposes including: universe checks, panel composition, triple code files, channel mappings, SAARF and Infosys data
• Provide sound guidance on the data and ensure strategic content of analysis and recommendations
• Generate insight and recommendations that demonstrate knowledge of the media industry and which are based on client’s needs
• Analyze data patterns in detail to understand significance and identify appropriate actions
• Overall responsibility of all Infosys data outputs, including the quality checking of automated reports, required on the DSTV-i project
• Responsible for the overall management, quality and comparability of DStv-i and TAMS data
• Daily review of reporting sample figures and identification of households not viewing to ensure correct troubleshooting
• Review of viewer footprint reports to identify viewing anomalies
• Analysis of reports supplied by external parties and operations support manager
• Analysis of spot data
• Responsible for the production of regular and adhoc reports as well as providing insight and interpretation
• Understanding of PIV’s, capping and algorithms used on the DStv-i RPD service and the impact on the Infosys end user data

Leadership, team and people management:
• Identifies growth potential/skill gaps and provides training or assists in assessing training needs for direct reports
• Determine tasks and actions for admin team members, allocate resources effectively
• Ensure direct reports have objectives and development plans to support team goals and company strategy
• Maintains personal well-being and balance

• Supporting the new development of Return Path Data (RPD)
• Supporting the DStv-i Manager and overall client back-up to the DStv-i Manager

• Together with senior management, define and implement the project plan for DSTV-i
• Communicates any project changes to relevant parties
• Communicates project status, changes and updates to all relevant parties timeously
• Clearly and persuasively communicate complex issues, internally and externally
• Clearly and accurately produce reports, presentations and documentation
• Provision of feedback to InfoSys Product Manager (TNS UK) regarding desired product needs, development, updates, maintenance, training needs and enhancements coming from clients.

TNS Research Surveys is SA’s largest ad hoc Marketing research company. We are a full-house research company, undertaking all phases of the research process from designing the study, executing the fieldwork, processing the data to interpreting and presenting the findings to the client.

· Completed tertiary education – degree in marketing, e.g. BCom/BBus Sc
· Minimum of five years’ work experience in the research industry (TV media industry experience is an advantage)
· Research acumen
· Analytical ability with proven numeracy skills
· Training experience is an advantage
· Must have a working knowledge of marketing research process as well as knowledge of audience measurement research and television audience analysis systems
· An interest in the television and advertising industries and its future
· An interest in software systems, technically inclined
