Vacancy Details

Key Competencies Required:

• Proficiency in conducting nursing assessments and developing nursing care plans for the effective coordination of daily living activities based on medical needs.
• Ability to schedule activities, manage resources, and deliver services to residents.
• Competence in diagnosing and, within legal constraints, treating illnesses.
• Expertise in medication management and control.
• Providing care to older adults, encompassing home care services, clinical support, and medication management.
• Effective liaison with multidisciplinary team members and professional communication with families.
• Essential computer literacy for accurate recording of all nursing care on an electronic system.

 

Required Skills

• Computer Skills (Windows): 2 to 3 years
• Nursing Care: 1 to 2 years
• Medication Management: 1 to 2 years

 

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications and Attributes:

• Registered Nurse qualifications (SANC registered)
• Demonstrated experience in gerontology/geriatrics and a comprehensive understanding of the ageing process.
• Proficiency in creating nursing care plans, writing progress reports, and conducting nursing assessments for the aged, including those who are physically and/or mentally frail.
