Vacancy Details

 

Key Performance Areas:

• Preparing consolidated and company financial statements in compliance with IFRS requirements
• Assisting with reviewing subsidiary financial statements
• Assist with collating information for the preparation of income tax and provisional tax computations including reviewing foreign subsidiary tax calculations and ensuring timeous submission of related returns.
• Collating information for subsidiary VAT and statutory return submissions.
• Accurately preparing and processing all monthly journals and standard journals as and when required
• Preparation of loan amortization schedules as well as IFRS-related calculations as and when required.
• Preparation of monthly analysis reports for management as and when required.
• Assist with the budgeting process.
• Assist with month-end reporting.
• Assist with coordinating year-end audits and compiling information required for audits.
• Perform any other tasks that may from time to time be assigned.
• Adhere to the health, hygiene and safety regulations and maintain a safe and tidy work environment

 

Candidate Requirements

Minimum Knowledge and Skills:

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Tax / Finance (NQF6 /7) / equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 to 4 years experience in a similar position and/or environment
• MUST HAVE CASEWARE, FOREIGN CURRENCY AND TAX BACKGROUND
• SAICA/SAIPA articles will be advantageous
• Strong IFRS and tax knowledge
• Group reporting and consolidation of multicurrency entities’ experience.
• Experience in dealing with corporate, indirect and payroll tax matters including preparation/review of tax calculations and return submissions.
• Foreign tax experience will be advantageous.
• Experience within a FMCG/Retail/Stock Environment (Imports/Exports) will be advantageous
• Computer literacy, including MS Office with proficiency in Excel
• CASEWARE EXP ESSENTIAL
