This position requires the incumbent to play a key role in developing the strategy for UNAM’s corporate engagement programs, as well as defining and pursuing the most important impact priorities. The incumbent will also be responsible for overseeing and delivering all aspects of UNAM’s corporate engagement work, as well as consistently leading a team of specialists in their efforts to build long-term partnerships with private, public, and international stakeholders.
The incumbent will further be responsible for Marketing and Communications, ensuring that the University’s corporate image reflects its strategic direction; Program evaluation and UNAM web/social media presence; Ensure the UNAM brand is promoted through all communications, branding, imagery, and corporate advertising; Promotion of internationalisation; Overseeing all aspects of the University’s Alumni Relations; Student and Staff exchange programmes; Building networks of professional contacts with corporate and foundation prospects for a legacy that would support the grants office and foundation; and Support the executive management in enabling high profile, action-oriented thought leadership seminars or colloquium on public policy issues.
Developing and implementing effective and efficient governance, administrative and financial structures, fostering an innovative work culture amongst staff necessary to advance each component of UNAM’s mission and strategy in line with the Institutions values.
1.The candidate should hold a Master’s degree in Social Sciences/Business Development/Marketing/nternational Relations.
2.Six (6) years of noteworthy experience in collaborative stakeholder engagement, thought leadership, network building, and leading alliances with higher education at a senior level.
3.A good track record of having identified, pursued, and delivered on institutional impact projects with strong project development skills, and strength in fundable proposal writing skills are essential.
4.Ability to formulate and articulate sound policies and demonstrated ability to identify, resolve and consult a wide range of administrative and personnel issues with a clear sense of institutional needs and priorities;
5.Excellent written and oral communications skills; Negotiation and Analytical skills; Strong Organisational and Management skills;
6.Must be a self-starter, highly organised, and demonstrated knowledge and expertise in marketing management and strategy development;
7.Knowledge, experience, and expertise with social media, marketing, and international partnership building and perform any other duties as may be required.
