Managing a team of four, the Head of Operations will lead the planning, streamlining and monitoring of the day-to-day operations and support functions of Wordworks. As a member of the executive team the successful individual will contribute to the strategic development of the organisation.
 

Job Title: Head of Operations
Location: Cape Town

Key responsibilities:

Human resources Best practice processes and systems are in place.
Donor compliance Ensure donor reporting requirements and contract obligations are fulfilled.
Materials management Oversight of materials printing, distribution, stock management and version control processes.
Operations & logistics Ensure effective IT systems and organisational logistics.
Finance Oversight of the finance, budget and risk management function.

Requirements

The successful candidate will be a graduate with at least five years generalist management experience. They will have a proven track record of improving processes and systems and demonstrated leadership skills. They will be a pro-active and innovative strategic thinker and multi-tasker who copes well under pressure.
