Vacancy Details

• On going negotiations with the Transporter to ensure best buying rates
• Co- Ordinating and scheduling transporters
• Reconciling transporters invoices
• Planning of breakbulk, FCL and sufficient notice to clients/ warehouse
• Planning of all deliveries and cold store deliveries and updating clients/ cold store
• Monitor container storage and demurrage.
• Place client on notice should there be any additional charges applicable.
• Ensure the additional charges are invoiced out to the client.
• Constant communication with customers by phone, email and Whatsapp- after hours and weekends included
• All shipping files/ systems are properly endorsed with buying and selling rates for all transport movements
• Checking ETAs
• Handling queries

 

General office duties

• Strong negotiation skills, problem solving
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to work weekends and after hours as required

 

Candidate Requirements

• Grade 12
• Freight qualification is advantageous
• Shipshape or similar knowledge
