The Regional Sales Manager has the responsibility of ensuring dealers achieve the targets, objectives and standards established by BMW Motorrad, including strategic planning of dealer activities and dealer development initiatives through regular onsite consultation and close monitoring of all Motorrad business systems and processes.
Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in Sales, Marketing or Engineering
Necessary knowledge of the automotive / motorcycle industry
Additional qualification in technology or accounting would be beneficial
Proven experience motor industry experience in retail / wholesale environment
Proven experience in working with Dealers
Experience in supply chain management / quantitative modeling
This position is responsible for new motorcycles sales and aftersales performance of the assigned dealers
The Regional Sales Manager will also be required to assist the National Sales Manager in maximizing authority and fleet sales within their region.
Manage the dealer relationship and establish exemplary dealer professionalism and outstanding customer satisfaction across the dealer network
Maintain dealer stock levels at a representative mix and quantity using the knowledge of market conditions to influence production volume and model mix
Identify sales and profit opportunities in the South African market and ensure maximum profits for BMW Motorrad
Continuously monitor competitors pricing and activities and report back to BMW Motorrad with suggested counter measures.
Support, guide and monitor dealer performance to ensure agreed targets are adhered to
Analyze regional potential in the achievement of set targets and report back to BMW Motorrad
