TECHNICAL & OPERATIONS MANAGER Somerset-West Our client is involved in the fruit- and general manufacturing industry and develops equipment for control and handling systems in those industries. They also service and support installed solutions. Engineering design, planning and execution of projects are key expertise to satisfy customer requirements. They are recruiting for an Engineering and/or Operations Manager to be based at their offices in Somerset-West.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS 
 

• CONFORMANCE:Set the Compliance Standards and align with project outcomes & monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
• COSTS: Estimate project costs and draw up bill of works, detailing specifications and budgets
• BUDGETS: Prepare Project Budgets & maintain strict cost control, reporting variances monthly with corrective actions
• PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT: Manage project performance to achieve outcomes within time and cost budgets.
• MOTIVATION: Provide Project leadership that is sensitive and serves to motivate individual and team performance of project personnel
• REPORTING: Submit management reports accurately and on time as required
• ASSIST WITH PLANNING AND EXECUTION FOR SITE INSTALLATIONS: Help with the site support and installations.
• FAULT FINDING WHEN PROBLEMS ARISE WITH INSTALLED SYSTEMS: Assist with support and maintenance on installed systems.
• PREPARE AND PRESENT QUOTES TO CUSTOMERS: Make sure costings are accurate
• ASSIST WITH THE SETTING OF TIMELINES FOR SITE INSTALLATIONS AND SERVICES: Project management and planning
• QUALITY: Manage Customer expectations for their satisfaction & ensure systems have integrity for Customer needs
• PROJECT EXECUTION: Identify problem areas & find solutions providing feedback on progress & management of costs & safety
• PRODUCTIVITY: Measure & monitor work activities for productivity improvement.
• SALES SUPPORT: Packhouse design, layout planning, selling packhouse solutions into apple & pear industry
• CAD DESIGN: render support to CAD function
