Applications are invited for the above mentioned position to be based in Stellenbosch, providing a full HR Service to an Operational Unit within the Primary Production Division in the Western Cape.
This person will report directly to the Human Resources Manager: Primary Production situated at the HR Department in Stellenbosch. (Papegaaiberg)
Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:
• Effective service provision to all employees in the Wine Segment
• Effective compilation of a yearly budget and monthly budget Control (Variances and Forecasts)
• Effective monthly Reporting (Feedback/actions on variances)
• Effective Recruitment and Selection Practices
• Implementation of agreed Training Strategies in order to achieve training targets
• Effective career and succession planning for all staff in area of responsibility
• Ensure an effective IR Climate (Handling of Discipline and CCMA processes)
• Ensure effective Human Resources utilization in conjunction with Line Management
• Effective Human Resources administration practices inclusive of payroll administration
• Ensure effective performance management practices are maintained (EPMS)
• Ensure that job profiles and competency matrices are maintained and available for all positions in area of responsibility.
• Ensure that the Talent Pipeline is actively managed
The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:
• A relevant tertiary qualification (Diploma or Degree) in Human Resources Management
• At least 3-5 years’ experience in an HR environment
• Ability to work independently, accurately and under pressure
• Innovative and creative flair
• Proven track record in handling IR related matters, including CCMA proceedings
• Management experience, self-starter, able to work without close supervision
• Good communication and negotiation skills
• Good leadership skills and ability to present and facilitate sessions
• Proven computer literacy in MS Office Suite (SAP will be an advantage)
• Strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills (both written and verbal)
• Be able to act professionally and in confidence at all times
• Strong organisational skills
• A good knowledge of all relevant labour law
• Willing to travel when needed
• A valid code 8 license
