Legal Advisor Job Opportunity at DOJ

Purpose of the Role.
Provide comprehensive legal services to the RCL Foods organisation.

Knowledge

Good understanding and exposure to Anti-Trust, Compatition Law Advise, Dispute management and SA Companies Act.
Understadning of business processes and functions

 
Minimum Requirements

Law Degree from recognised SA university
Articles
Admission to the Role of Attorneys in RSA.
Minimum of 4+ years, post articles, Commercial experience
Must have at least 3-5 years of working in or with a large Corporate
Duties & Responsibilities Key Responsibilities
Autonomously identify and manage legal and contract risks, their impact and practically how to manage/comply with these.
Give support to Legal and Corporate Affairs Director with regards to adhoc projects, e.g Competition Law.
Develop and deliver relevant guidance to all stakeholder within the organisation.
Advise on relevant legal issues.

Legal Advice
Autonomously draft and advise on the various agreements within the organisation including but no limited to procurement and complex agreements.
Advise on on-going issues and help manage supplier relationships.

Functional Leadership (external)
Understanding of all relevant laws and new legislation.
Track legal developments and best practice.
Develop and maintain good relationships with external legal counsel.

KPI’s
Legal advice on drafting and negotiating of contracts and structuring of deals
Ability to work with complexity in multicultural and complex environment
Prepare Reports as required
