Head: HR Administration and Systems

Job Purpose:
Manage the HR Administration and Systems in Mintek through specialized advice that would contribute to the
development of the organization, in the longer term, and contribute to the achievement of strategic goals.
Specialized advice will include HR practices and principles of HR Policies & Procedures, Business
processes, rules & work flow, Integrity of HR Information, Reporting, System Development & Enhancements,
Remuneration & Benefits, Manpower Planning & Projects. Lead and drive processes to ensure effectiveness
and credibility.

Key Performance Areas:

 Develop HR systems in line with business needs and ensure they support HR processes.
 Ensure that all the systems, processes and procedure are auditable.
 Mange the provision of Mintek’s HR management information (monthly, quarterly and adhoc) to all key
 Maintain data accuracy in the HR System , by putting in place control processes in order to provide
management with accurate information.
 To contribute to the performance of Mintek by providing the organization with an efficient and effective
personnel administration service, directed at ensuring sound human relations and continually striving to
improve quality and HR best practices and principles.
 To effectively assist Mintek to achieve its strategic goals by facilitating an effective manpower planning
processes through system maintenance, costing and reporting
 To Coordinate all activities within the HR Information System and Time & Attendance environment with
the primary focus on Client Service, Reporting, Budgeting and people management principles
 Manage, supervise and develop staff members to achieve objectives set for HR Administration. Directs
their activities; reviews and evaluates their work and prepares performance reports. Confers with and
advises subordinates on administrative policies and procedures, technical problems, priorities and
 Responsible for all remuneration and benefits programmes for Mintek. Develops, implements and
monitors remuneration trends (Market and Surveys), policies, systems and procedures and making
recommendations to senior management.
 Develop and implement annual strategic objectives and budgets for HR Administration and Systems.
Plans to include one to three years forecast in terms of projects planned


 Relevant HR Degree or Diploma.
 5-8 years HR Administration, business processes and system development experience
 Good understanding of HR business process flow, practices and principles.
 Computer proficieny in MS Office, SAP, Lotus notes will be an advantage
 HR Policies and procudures.
 Excellent organising, administration and communication skills.
 HR Information systems including Time & Attendance.
 Report writing and analytical skills.

Package: R419 095 CTC per annum negotiable
