Job Title: Help Desk Engineer – PARKTOWN JHB & DURBAN CENTRAL – R8 – R12K per month
Location: Parktown JHB & Durban Central KZN
Duties & Responsibilities:
Serving as the 1st point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance on the phone or email.
Technical knowledge of computers, operating systems and widely used computer applications.
Ability to troubleshoot to determine the best solution based on a problem presented by a user.
Ability to build, configure and repair computer hardware and other devices.
Ability to learn and support third party applications.
Knowledge of computer networks and router configurations.
Installation and configuration processes
Desired Experience & Qualification:
Minimum of 5 years’ help desk experience
Knowledge of computer hardware.
Ability to understand various devices with more complex configurations.
Helpful nature with the ability to communicate with clients in a professional manner.
Ability to understand and resolve problems.
Problem solver with the ability to mentor more junior staff in the team.
Microsoft Office Applications.
Microsoft Operating Systems.
Essential – A+ Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
Beneficial – B.Tech, B.Com or B.Sc. Computer Science or Information Systems or B.Eng.
Package & Remuneration:
