The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls (The Academy) is a world-class educational platform for girls which is aimed at nurturing a new generation of dynamic women leaders. This residential boarding school is situated in Meyerton, Gauteng Province with just over 300 students enrolled in Grades 8 -12. Grade 12. Students write the Independent Examination Board (I.E.B.) NSC Examination.

Requirements
●Bachelor’s Degree in Librarianship and/or Information Science or an equivalent Library qualification;
●Postgraduate Diploma in Education or an equivalent professional teaching qualification;
●3 – 5 years’ experience as a Librarian;
●Experience in working on various library/database software programmes;
●Proven experience in cataloguing and classification of library resources;
●Extensive knowledge of a relevant library system;
●Proven experience of working in a digital library is required.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

●B Hons in Librarianship and/or Information Science or Education;
●School library experience;
●At least 2 years of experience as a Teacher;
●SACE registration;
●Proven Follett experience.
●A proven dynamic and innovative approach to embedding a Library in the ongoing academic momentum of a school/educational institute.
