PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Under the supervision of the Development Manager, to identify the long term (life) risk and give advice to clients on their life assurance needs. To provide solutions for client’s long term insurance and financial planning needs by regularly reviewing the client’s portfolio in order to build a sustainable Adviser practice

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

?Receive leads from Siebel (an electronic in-house AIFA system) and analyse each lead for viability of potential client for the generation of business
?If it is a viable lead, make contact with the client to set up a meeting within the specified timeframes
?Based on the lead provided, seek guidance from the Development Manager on how to assess the client’s portfolio and identify possible gaps for which solutions can be formulated
?On conclusion of business, provide file consisting of all record of Financial Needs Analysis, details of information shared with client during consultation and proof of business concluded to Development Manager for sign-off
?Record the outcome of the lead engagement on the appropriate electronic system
?Establish and define a professional relationship with the client
?Conduct a full client portfolio investigation
?Analyse and evaluate the clients’ financial status
?Develop and present financial planning recommendations and, or alternatives to the client
?Implement the financial planning recommendations
?Monitor the financial planning recommendations on a regular basis
?Draft a client contact plan that forms the basis of practice management
?Provide feedback on progress by means of regular reports, formal and informal coaching session to Development Manager regarding each step of the above-mentioned process
?Capture the correct Policy Relevant Information (PRI) number on the system
?Check the accuracy of the commission statements received from the AIFA Commissions department
?Follow up on unpaid premiums and lapses
?Manage the suspense account timeously
?Attend all training as prescribed by the AIFA Academy and duly contracted with the Development Manager
?Complete all exams as per Absa’s requirements within the prescribed time frame
?Develop a business development plan in conjunction with the Development Manager
?Ensure that FAIS Fit and Proper status is maintained throughout career as an Adviser
?Develop own referral plan

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

?Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 or higher qualification
?Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and the Internet
?No criminal record

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

?B Degree Commerce or Law or equivalent NQF level 6 or higher qualification
?Preference will be given to South African Citizens and Permanent residents of South Africa in possession of proof of permanent resident status
