SUPPLY CHAIN OFFICER 2 POSTS REF NO: SD/2015/05/44
SALARY : R 183 438 per annum (plus benefits)
CENTRE : Head Office (Johannesburg)

 

REQUIREMENTS : A three year National Diploma/Degree or equivalent qualification in finance,
supply chain management, logistics or public management with 2 years
supply chain management experience or grade 12 with 3-5 years supply
chain related experience. Good understanding and knowledge of
BAS/SAP/SRM is essential as well as computer literacy. Ability to manage
and lead a team. Knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations-PFMA,
Treasury Regulations, GPG and public policies and procedures. A valid
driver’s license. Skills and Competencies: Computer Literacy(MS Excel,
Outlook and Powerpoint) is essential. Good planning, organising, facilitation,
communication, coordination, minutes taking. Good report writing, financial
management and project management.

 

DUTIES : Coordinate submissions of procurement plans for purchase below and above
R500000 per case. Coordinate development of departmental demand plans.
Monitor submission of monthly and quarterly reports to the relevant
stakeholders. Coordinate external and internal customer relation forums.
Monitor the procurement of goods and services as per procurement plans and
delegated authority. Create purchase orders as per delegated authority.
Monitor processing of requisitions and goods receipt vouchers for allocated
exceptions. Complete query register on all procure to pay transactions. Check
and verify procurement documents for correctness. Ensure that documents
are filed after processing, expedite creation of orders and payments of
suppliers within 30 days. Ensure compliance with the PFMA, Treasury
Regulations, other financial policies and regulations. Supervision of staff.
