Purpose of Role
Join the Infrastructure Architecture team within our IT division to optimize the end user computing environment through determining and setting hardware and software standards, analyzing user requirements, designing the architecture and assisting in the planning of the implementation of new infrastructure. You will furthermore be involved in various projects related to the end user computing infrastructure, be responsible to compile and maintain system documentation as well as to assist the end user administration team in managing software in the end user environment.
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Ideally a relevant IT tertiary qualification
- A recent End User Computing related Microsoft qualification and 3 to 5 years related experience
- Previous technical training on and experience of:
- Microsoft and SCCM administration, software packaging, image building and deployment.
- Scripting knowledge in VBScript and or Powershell beneficial
- Desktopstandards design and implementation – security relevant to desktops using tools like group policy management
- MS Windows operating systems and applications
- End user and distributed IT systems and infrastructure
- Active Directory User Account management
- Documenting policies and procedures
- Ability to design new systems, processes and procedures relevant to the support, implementation and administration of IT computer systems
- Very good communication skills (verbal and written) in English
- Ability and experience in managing vendor relationships
- Problem solving and diagnostic skills
