Communications Manager Job Vacancy

Job Purpose

To develop and implement an internal and external communications plan in alignment with the Ackermans strategic plan; promoting a focus on business and brand targets and goals as well as key messages to internal and external customers.

 

Qualifications

• A Degree/National Diploma in Marketing/Communication or an equivalent qualification.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Exceptional communication skill (verbal and written).
• Ability to influence and communicate at all levels in diverse groups and project teams.
• Ability to lead and drive opportunities internally and externally.
• Excellent organizing and time management skill.
• Media relations
• Translating the strategic business messages into internal and external communications
• Managing The Sound of Ackermans, an external contractor and reflecting the brand on this channel

 

Key Responsibilities

• External Communication
o Setting annual plans
o Create communication responsibilities and timing grid
o Implementation, management, co-ordination and reporting
o Identifying appropriate messages for the external customers
o Overseeing production of elements or channels
• Public Relations
o Product, corporate and CSI PR plan
o Liaising with the media
o Events
• Internal Communication
o Setting annual plans
o Create communication responsibilities and timing grid
o Implementation, management, co-ordination and reporting
o Overseeing of production of any elements required as well as the channels
o Instigate and manage MD communications
o Manage Content and Update of internal communications
• Liasing with key stakeholders to control and plan content generation
• Managing staff
• Propose and agree annual budgets
• Corporate Functions
o Plan and co ordinate the business briefings
o Contributing to the annual conferences and senior leadership breakaway
