ECHO-NOVA is a non-profit organisation specifically for first-responders and requires the services of an experienced fundraiser to source funding to implement its projects, campaigns and activites.
Our mission is to improve the psycho-social wellness of Emergency Medical Service personnel, in order for them to function optimally and to minimise the negative impact related to repeated exposure to trauma and, requires the services of an experienced fundraiser to source funding to implement its projects and activities.
Background
ECHO-NOVA (the Emergency Counselling and Mental Health Organisation – New Beginnings) is a non-profit organisation established in 2018. The organisation has the vision of creating a healthier Emergency Medical Service (EMS) in South Africa, by improving the psycho-social wellness of EMS personnel. Our objectives cover the four focus areas of knowledge, awareness, resilience and support. Job Title: PART-TIME PROPOSAL WRITER AND FUNDRAISER
Purpose:
Up to date ECHO-NOVA has been operating on very limited funding, and has relied to a significant extent on pro bono work of professionals, assistance from volunteers and in-kind contributions. Awareness raising and services provided up to date has resulted in increased demand for services and assistance, which can only be met if sufficient funding is sourced. ECHO-NOVA requires the services of an experienced fundraiser to source funding to implement its planned activities in all four focus areas.

Working arrangements
This is a part-time, work from home position. The number of hours required per month is negotiable.
Remuneration
This is a volunteer position. Depending on performance, the Board may, after a period of 3 months, consider an incentive scheme in the form of a percentage of funding sourced, provided that such an arrangement is accepted by individual funders/donors.
Contract duration
A commitment of at least 3 months is required.
