Feenix offers a solution, which allows individuals and enterprises to donate money to universities on behalf of selected students to help them complete their studies.

Job Title: Fundraiser
Job Location: Cape Town

The purpose of this position is to raise funds for the Feenix platform and Feenix students through sourcing and developing financial partners with a focus on medium to large enterprises/businesses.

Responsibilities:

Prospect Research and Networking

• Conduct prospect research for new financial relationships
• Screen potential relationships by alignment to short- and long-term organisational goals
• Identify and generate quality leads across funder generation activities (donor and non-donor)
• Attend relevant events, conferences and meetings to grow network base

New Funding Partner Solicitation

• Initiate contact with prospective corporates and enterprises
• Engage with new funding partners and cross sell the Feenix solution and brand
• Cultivate new and existing relationships and promote opportunities for involvement with new funders in all funder generating activities of Feenix
• Oversee the administration of new leads, funders and/or partners
• Build funding pipeline
• Ensure funder engagement service satisfaction and good funder relationships exist

Proposal Writing

• Write and submit customised funding and revenue generating proposals and grant applications

Progress Reports

• Provide accurate reporting and administration in line with management requirements

Innovation

• Suggest and support alternative / innovative funding mechanisms to increases sources of funding for Feenix

Requirements

• Minimum of four to six years’ working experience
• Proven track record in fundraising and/or sales
• Proposal and reporting skills
• Administration and organisation skills
• Comfortable with presenting
• Understanding of the B-BBEE codes an advantage
• Experience in the innovation and tech space an advantage
