Job Title: Project Manager
Job Location: Western Cape
Duration: August 2018 to March 2019
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience level
Responsibilities:
- Manage Sunbox Ambassadorship Network
- Identify and negotiate for potential outreach screening sites and guest speakers in the areas around Alice (Eastern Cape), QwaQwa (Free state), Xolobeni (KwaZulu-Natal), Kite (Copperbelt Zambia), Harare (Zimbabwe), Mzuzu (Northern Malawi)
- Collate Sunbox Ambassador reports, financial management, human resource supervision management of Ambassadors
- Maintain excellent communication and support with Ambassadors on a regular basis
- Liase with Sunshine Cinema team to develop monitoring and evaluation impact assessment of Ambassadorship, in line with impact producing trends
- Maintain on-going professional relationship with all partner organisations involved in the Ambassadorship network
- Set up and maintain linkages with community resources/referral points
- Manage Social media posts relating to the ambassadors’ screenings
- Attend partner organisation meetings when required
- Compile and submit weekly and monthly reports of all outreach activities
Requirements:
- Legal right to work in South Africa
- Matric or equivalent qualification
- Undergraduate Tertiary qualification in Media/ Social Science
- Valid driver’s license
- Own computer
- Proficiency in two to three South African Languages
- Computer literacy, Google Drive, Dropbox
- Comfortable with managing a social media platform
- Can be based in Cape Town, as most of the communications will be done with the ambassadors on the phone and online, required three full days a week
