To ensure complete, accurate and timeous supplier payments and to optimise the supplier payment process in accordance with all applicable legislation

Immediate Supervisor:
General Manager Procurement and Creditors

Minimum NQF6 qualification (financial degree)
Minimum 10 years experience in a similar position
Strong communication skills
Ability to communicate in English
Accuracy, cross functional knowledge, negotiation skills, good business acumen and integrity
Strong analytical and numeric skills
Strong problem solving skills

Key Performance Area:
Financial Control and Reporting
•Financial control and reporting in line with company policies and procedures
•Accurate and timely General Ledger reconciliations
Bank reconciliation control

Supplier Management
•Governance of supplier agreements in line with company policies and procedures

Settlement Discount
•Adhere to company benchmarks
•Achieve budgeted targets
•Ensure suppliers paid on time
•Enhance processes to maximise settlement discounts

Terms Management
•Adhere to company benchmarks
•Payment term management and control (maximise settlement discount)

Rebates Management
•Trade agreement compliance
•Ensure completeness of rebate recovery
•Management of rebate debtors

Management Reports
•Compile the following daily / weekly / monthly reports:
•Daily Productivity Measurements
•Internal Audit Report results
•Monthly Reconciliation Ageing
•Monthly Claims Ageing
•Weekly Purchase Price Variance (PPV)

Budget Setting and Control
•Management and preparation of cost budget

Competent and motivated staff
•Manage staff according to company policies and procedures (e.g. Performance appraisal, career pathing, skills development, adherence to policies and procedures)
