Job Summary:
1.Evaluates electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of electricity and materials.
2.Confirms system’s and components’ capabilities by designing testing methods; testing properties.
3.Develops electrical products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials.
4.Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for building and assembling electrical components; soliciting observations from operators.
5.Assures product quality by designing electrical testing methods; testing finished products and system capabilities.
6.Prepares product reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends.
7.Maintains product and company reputation by complying with the government regulations.
8.Keeps equipment operational by following manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures; requesting repair service.
9.Completes projects by training and guiding technicians.
10. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
11. Ensure effective electrical maintenance for targeted equipment availability
12. Compile and recommend spare requirements to be purchased for stock and immediate use
13. Liaise with other departments to ensure effective internal infrastructure
14. Ensure effective implementations of autonomous maintenance
15. Plan, assign and coordinate maintenance works
16. Train on plant maintenance activities
17. Effective utilization of SAP PM module in maintenance

Requirements:
1.Qualifications required:

i.Minimum academic qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
ii.Professional membership registration: Engineers Board of Kenya

2.Experience required:

i.General work experience (years): At least 5-7 years of working experience in manufacturing plant electrical maintenance in a reputable organization.
ii.Knowledge in SAP is an added advantage.
