Heatherdale Children’s Home is a nonprofit organisation under the auspices of the Methodist Church of Southern Africa. Heatherdale, provides a safe haven for children at risk for those whose homes are beset with financial difficulties, drug/alcohol problems or physical abuse and who have suffered emotional trauma as a result.

Job Title: Social Worker
Job Location: Cape Town

This is a full-time position

The purpose of the position is to provide social work services for the children placed in the care of the Home and their families.

Requirements:

• Social work degree
• Current registration with the SACSSP
• Child Protection Register clearance
• Police Register clearance
• Driver’s licence and PDP
• Five years’ experience in a children’s home
• Experience in social work supervision, case, and group work
